- I own an A1000 with internal floppy and external A1010 floppy drives.
- When writing files to a disk in either of these drives, I occasionally
- get errors on tracks 40 and 79. First the internal drive did this,
- and soon the external drive caught on. I can find no pattern to the
- frequency of the errors, but they occur quite often. I can diskdoctor
- the disk and copy (most of) the files off it, then reformat the disk
- and that makes the disk usable again, but it's quite annoying, and a lot
- of times data is lost (probably just because I don't know enough to
- completely reconstruct the disk).
-
- I would appreciate knowing if anyone else has this problem, and even
- better would be knowing what I can do about fixing it. Thanks.
